Constantine I AE Follis – “Two Soldiers & Standards” Type – SMANT Mintmark
An authentic bronze AE Follis from the reign of Constantine the Great (AD 306–337), one of the most significant rulers of the Roman Empire. Constantine is remembered for transforming the empire and for issuing the Edict of Milan, which established religious tolerance and helped shape the future of Christianity in the Roman world.
This coin features the classic “two soldiers and standards” reverse type, one of the most recognizable designs of the Constantinian period. The design symbolised the strength and unity of the Roman army during a time of consolidation and reform across the empire.
