Vintage Manual Whisk – Swipt Whip
A Bit of Background on Swift Whip
-
The Swift Whip was manufactured by Propert (Sydney, Australia), and many original units date back to the 1930s–1950s.
-
It was a manual rotary egg-beater (or “hand mixer”) — metal body, wooden handle — used for beating eggs, batter, cream, etc. So it’s more like a hand-crank mixer than a modern balloon whisk.
-
Today, those vintage pieces are collectible — often valued for their patina, age, and mechanical charm — but some modern manual beaters replicate similar function if you just want a working whisk.
