Description
The 10 pengő banknote from 1936 is part of Hungary’s “War Series” issued between 1936 and 1941. Although dated 1936, it was not put into circulation until 1939. Designed by Endre Horváth, the obverse features a depiction of the Virgin Mary with the infant Jesus, while the reverse displays a statue of King St. Stephen by Alajos Stróbl.
