UK Second Anglo-Afghan War Military Medal 1878-1880 with Case – Engraved
A striking piece of British military history, this original Afghanistan Medal was awarded for service during the Second Anglo-Afghan War (1878–1880). Featuring the crowned bust of Queen Victoria on the obverse and a dramatic scene of British troops and elephants on the reverse, this example remains in very good condition and retains its original crimson and green ribbon.
This particular medal is officially impressed on the rim to:

It comes housed in its original red velvet and silk-lined presentation box, bearing a faded but still visible royal arms stamp inside the lid.

Condition:
Medal is in very good antique condition with age-appropriate patina. Ribbon shows some fraying at top edge. Case exterior is heavily worn but structurally intact, as seen in photos.
