About Constantine II

Born around AD 316, Constantine II was the eldest surviving son of Constantine the Great. Following his father’s death in AD 337, he became co-emperor alongside his brothers Constantius II and Constans. His reign was brief, ending in AD 340 during a conflict with Constans, making coins from his independent reign a fascinating part of the Constantinian dynasty.
